As an organization that operates globally, Euroma is able to make a difference in terms of sustainability. We therefore feel that it is our responsibility to keep working on a more sustainable world. In this fifth edition of our sustainability report, we show how we do this and with which results.
Euroma aims to buy all herbs and spices sustainable in the future. In 2017 that ambition came closer with the addition of various herbs to the list of sustainably grown raw materials. However, also in the Netherlands, we monitor critically where sustainability can be improved. For example CO2 reduction and energy savings in our factories.
In our sustainability report you can read an interview with Plant Manager Gerben Otten, who took various energy-saving measures with his team at the Schijndel factory. Motivated from social motives, but also from an efficiency point of view, he also strives to make sustainability more and more part of the daily work.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Sustainability is also the way in which you, as an organization, deal with your environment. We interviewed Gerben Beeksma, Industry Manager at Werkbedrijf NoardEast Fryslân. Every day about 50 employees with a disability, work at NEF on the packing of herbs and spices for Euroma. Gerben is witness to the positive effects that the work has on those people.
